TAXON

The journal of the IAPT

TAXON is the leading international journal devoted to systematics, phylogeny and taxonomy of algae, fungi, and plants. It also accepts papers on methodology, botanical history, biography, bibliography and related subjects, accepts opinion pieces, commentaries and new perspectives, and publishes a number of regular columns including Plant Systematics World.

TAXON invites especially reviews focusing on the importance of taxonomy and systematics for other fields of biology and beyond, and will support this with an honorarium via the Vicki Funk Invited Review Series.

Under the rules of the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants, proposals to amend the Code (except those that apply solely to fungi), and most other nomenclatural proposals, must be published in TAXON.

TAXON is published online-only by Wiley.
