Cyperaceae in poorly explored areas of Amazonian Brazil
Project summary:
Many remote areas of the Amazon remain poorly explored and ecologically varied savannas are scattered throughout the region. Careful collection of Cyperaceae (specimens, molecular samples, and anatomical samples) in these areas will greatly increase our understanding of phylogeny and will result in the description of new species.
