Digitization, Systematization and enhancing specimen preservation process of North Bengal University Herbarium (NBU), India

Project summary:

NBU herbarium contains more than 12000 unique collections (Types included) with several thousand unprocessed specimens. Objectives: 1. Systematization of all processed collections along with enhancing storage and processing. 2. Digitalized specimens (5000 specimens) and share in www.nbuherbarium.in for universal access and inclusion in GBIF 3. Processing of 1100 back lock specimens and databasing. 4. Holding workshop for awaring researchers, student about unique ness of herbarium preservation.
