Systematic and biogeography of Coccoloba P. Browne (Polygonaceae)
Project summary:
Coccoloba (Polygonaceae) is a taxonomically complex neotropical genus with high richness in Brazil. We aim to perform a biogeographic and phylogenetic reconstruction to understand the evolutionary processes, in addition to performing a taxonomic revision in the Atlantic Forest. This proposal will provide new hypotheses about the diversification of the genus.
