IAPT business is run by Council and seven subcommittees, a Grants Committee, Honours Committee, Nomenclature Committee, Nominating Committee, Membership & Outreach Committee, Publications Committee, and Reserve Fund Committee.
The Grants Committee considers applications and makes recommendations for IAPT Grants
The Honours Committee considers and makes recommendations to Council for awarding the IAPT Medals
The Membership & Outreach Committee deals with members' needs and with outreach to non-members
The Nomenclature Committee advises Council on IAPT’s logistical and financial support of the
International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants.
The Nominating Committee prepares nominations for IAPT Council and runs the vote for Council membership. The Nominating Committee will be formed in 2022
The Publications Committee supports IAPT's publication program, including Taxon, the Regnum Vegetabile series, and the IAPT website
The Reserve Fund Committee provides advice to the Reserve Funds Manager on IAPT's investments
