Revisiting the biology of Tetracera (Dilleniaceae): phylogenomics, historical biogeography and revision of the Neotropical species

Project summary:

Our project aims to carry out a taxonomic revision of Neotropical species of Tetracera and study its phylogeny and biogeographic history of the intriguing group distributed pantropically. Field collections in the Amazon rainforest for DNA and ecological information and visit to major herbaria from the US, as MO and NY, to study species from Central America is still needed to fulfill our objectives.
