Comprehensive revision of the Myriolecis-dwelling Arthonia species: taxonomy, molecular phylogeny and host-selection patterns

Project summary:

Lichenicolous fungi represent a highly specialized and successful group of organisms that live exclusively on lichens. Currently, taxonomy of genus within Arthoniaceae has changed markedly in recent years, but phylogenetic relationships between several species groups are still unresolved.
One of them are Myriolecis-dwelling Arthonia species which don't have sufficient molecular data and type materials are unrevised. The purpose of this project is to conduct a taxonomic revision of Myriolecis-dwelling Arthonia species using standard microscope techniques and phylogenetic methods.
