Taxonomic advances in the genus Souroubea (Marcgraviaceae): review of collections and new collections in the Colombian Amazon

Project summary:

This project aims to advance the taxonomic revision of Souroubea (Marcgraviaceae) through the critical study of Colombian herbarium collections and targeted fieldwork in the Colombian Amazon. By integrating morphological, anatomical, morphometric, and spectral data, the project will update nomenclature, expand collections, and reduce taxonomic and geographic knowledge gaps in a poorly studied Neotropical lineage.
