Taxonomic studies of the Miconia chrysophylla group in the main Amazonian herbarium collections

Project summary:

Taxonomy is fundamental for identifying and categorizing biodiversity, facilitating the organization and dissemination of knowledge. In Melastomataceae, several species remained with uncertain placement, such as the, probably monophyletic, Chrysophylla s.s. group. Given these technical requirements and the considerable distances to the Herbaria sites that I need to visit to study the group, I kindly seek support to cover the expenses associated with these visits, thus advancing the study and exploration within Miconia and the biodiversity of the Amazon.
