Phylogeny and Biogeography of Cassieae with Emphasis on Cassia L. (Leguminosae)
Project summary:
The Cassieae tribe includes seven genera and almost 700 species. Cassia, with approximately 39 tree species of medicinal and ornamental value, is poorly resolved phylogenetically. This project combines herbarium studies and genomic data to clarify phylogenetic relationships within Cassieae and Cassia to improve species delimitation, and support future taxonomic revisions.
