Taxonomy and distribution of Browallia and other Solanaceae species from Andean-Amazon foothill

Project summary:

Browallia L., despite being a small nightshade genus, presents several taxonomical issues to be resolved. Its highest diversity is in Peru, where numerous species have been recently described. A detailed taxonomic review including morphological, cytogenetic, and phylogenetic data is needed to delimit its species and to understand their morphological variation.
