Variation unveiled: Exploring morphological and genetic diversity in the Oxalis hirta L. species complex in South Africa

Project summary:

My study involves the species delimitation of the Oxalis hirta L. species complex in South Africa. The taxonomic boundaries are obscure within the complex. The study is divided into the following two chapters:
Chapter I
Aim: Assess the morphological variation among varieties and associated species within the O. hirta complex and identify morphological unique entities.
Chapter II
Aims: Conduct molecular analysis using Sanger sequencing to delimit species boundaries and assess the genetic uniqueness of the morphological entities identified in Chapter I.
