Nototriche Turcz. is a genus native from the high Andes of South America. In Ecuador, the treatment of this species has been confusing and not well refined. This research aims to understand the Ecuadorian species of Nototriche by conducting a taxonomic revision and implementing systematic procedures for the first time.
