Illustrated identification key: An interactive tool to genus Struthanthus Mart. (Loranthaceae) in Mexico
Project summary:
Struthanthus is a complex genus that lacks comprehensive taxonomic treatment, resulting in uncertainty regarding the number of taxa. In Mexico, there are an estimated 20 species. My research will involve traveling to western and southeastern Mexico, where the highest diversity of species can be found. I will collect, study, and document the Struthanthus species present in the country. Based on the research data, I will create an illustrated key and plates for each species of genus in Mexico. This resource will help identify, enhance understanding and appreciation of this group of mistletoes.
