How many genera are there in Scuticaria Lindl. (Orchidaceae)? The analysis of a morphological characteristic genus with an paraphyletic grouping
Project summary:
The typical morphology of Scuticaria contrasts with the non-monophyletic grouping of its species. Nevertheless, the inconsistency and subsampling of Scuticaria could bias the result, making it mandatory to sample the genus better. So, we intend to fill this gap collecting Scuticaria species across Brazil to better revise Scuticaria taxonomy.
