Phylogenetics and biogeography of a clade of Neotropical blueberries (Cavendishia, Ericaceae)
Project summary:
Cavendishia is the largest Neotropical genus in Ericaceae. However, information is still lacking regarding its evolutive history. This project aims to infer a phylogenomic hypothesis and biogeographic history for Cavendishia, connecting this knowledge with the uplift of the Andes to understand the interplay of environmental and ecological factors on the evolution of Andean taxa.
