Exploring the gaps in the Systematics of Marcetieae (Melastomataceae): a phylogenetic approach focusing on Ernestia and Macairea
Project summary:
Marcetieae is a tribe of Melastomataceae with distribution in the Meso- and Neotropical regions. Despite recent advances in the systematics of the tribe, Macairea and Ernestia remain as non-monophyletic genera. In this context, this project aims to complete the phylogenetic tree of Marcetieae from the taxa known to both genera.
