Project summary:
The genus Nautilocalyx (Gesneriaceae) comprises about 50 species distributed from Central America to central Brazil. Recent studies revealed the genus includes species from at least six clades. This project focuses on the “Nautilocalyx Amazonian clade,” expanding sampling, conducting taxonomic revision, and producing a molecular and morphological phylogeny.
