This project proposes to develop a revised checklist of rust fungi (Pucciniales) in Sri Lanka, supported by a publicly accessible database and website. Targeted DNA sequencing and phylogenetic analyses will be used to evaluate taxonomic placement and improve understanding of the diversity and evolutionary relationships of Sri Lankan rust fungi.
