MOLECULAR PHYLOGENY OF Elatostematoides (URTICACEAE) AND ALLIED GENERA IN THE PHILIPPINES

Project summary:

My goal is to determine the phylogenetic relationships of Elatostemeae in the Philippines with emphasis on Elatostematoides, which is relatively underrepresented in several phylogenetic studies. My project will also provide further evolutionary and biogeographic understanding to why Elatostematoides is somehow limited in the country despite its presumed occurrence outside Philippines.
