Phylogenetic and taxonomic knowledge on Malaysian Acanthaceae
Project summary:
Acanthaceae is one of pan-tropical flowering plants and most of the species were centralized in Old World (OW) regions including Malaysia. However, we still lack of knowledge on the natural history of the species. Nevertheless, many reports have been published on the medicinal value of the species. Therefore, it shows that the knowledge on the natural history of the species including identification is very important in order to ensure the medicinal properties and the species reported is comparable. Hence, this project is conducted to fill in the knowledge gap on the Malaysian Acanthaceae.
