Taxonomic, genomic, and biogeographical studies in south american Cactaceae and Euphorbiaceae
Project summary:
We aim to evaluate genetic, morpho-anatomical, and reproductive aspects of the Euphorbiaceae and Cactaceae families in order to understand their evolutionary convergences in xeric conditions in South America. We propose to carry out exhaustive collection trips, generate DNA sequences, and perform morpho-anatomical analyses and comparative phylogenetic studies.
