RESTINGA (SCRUB VEGETATION) DIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION IN A PROTECTED AREA IN PARAIBA STATE, BRAZIL
Project summary:
The project aims to create a flora of vascular plants in the Environmental Protection Area (APA) of Barra do Rio Mamanguape and select native species with potential for use in the restoration of degraded areas. Collections will be made through random walks. The samples will be photographed, georeferenced, preserved as herbarium specimens, and deposited in the Lauro Pires Xavier Herbarium (JPB). Identification will be done using a stereomicroscope, identification keys, and specialized literature. In the case of unidentified taxa, specialists will be consulted.
