Taxonomic revision and molecular phylogeny of the American species of Spermacoce L. (Spermacoceae – Rubiaceae)
Project summary:
This project aims to resolve the taxonomic and phylogenetic complexity of the American species of Spermacoce (Rubiaceae) through an integrative approach combining morphology and molecular data. The IAPT grant will support fieldwork and herbarium studies in central-west Brazil to expand taxon sampling, refine species delimitation, and strengthen the phylogenetic framework of the genus.
