Towards an infrageneric phylogenetic classification for the hyper-diverse genus Inocybe (Agaricales, Inocybaceae)
Project summary:
Infrageneric classifications of Inocybe are based on morphological analyzes and present a poor representation of phylogenetic relationships. Here we propose a classification of the main clades of Inocybe by highlighting their phylogenetic relationships and morphological and ecological attributes that correlate with each well-supported sublineage to avoid taxonomic errors within Inocybaceae.
