The Impatiens urticifolia and I. jurpia complexes represent persistent taxonomic challenges in the Himalayas. This study aims to applies an integrative systematic approach combining fieldwork, herbarium research, morphology, cytology, and molecular phylogenetics to resolve species boundaries, test sectional circumscription, and document hidden diversity of balsams in this biodiversity hotspot region.
