Phylogenetic and biogeographic analyses of the Amazonian Pachira clade (Bombacoideae, Malvaceae)

Project summary:

I will analyze collections of species within the Amazonian Pachira clade in European Herbaria, including type-specimens and new determinations. In addition, I will perform phylogenetic and biogeographic analysis under the supervision of Dr. Flávia Fonseca Pezzini (Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh) to investigate the evolutionary dynamics of the clade.
