Project summary:

A floristic study in the family Acanthaceae is proposed in the Indian Himalayan Region of India for understanding its diversity and help in preservation of the species by gathering insights into its natural habitat, its floral and vegetative morphology and pollen studies. It aims at preparing fieldbook for about 50 species including the terrain & landscapes of the region from targeted field visits and detailed study.
