Assessing the phylogenetic and infra-generic placement of Amazonian marliereoid species of Myrcia DC. (Myrtaceae)

Project summary:

I seek funds to include the largely neglected Amazonian marliereoid species of Myrcia (Myrtaceae) in the broad phylogenetic context of the genus currently under construction. To that aim, I will sample specimens from the Kew Herbarium and process them under supervision of Dr Eve Lucas during a short internship.
