Project summary:
Tanzanian Cycads collections faces mislabeling, misidentification as well as taxonomy issues between species. Using DNA barcodes from verified and field collected samples, we will confirm the identity of species in collection and reconstruct a phylogeny to understand their evolutionary history and resolve taxonomic issues between the species.
