Taxonomy serves as a fundamental tool for identifying and categorizing biodiversity. Many groups require detailed organization for better understanding, as is the case with Miconia Ruiz & Pav. (Miconeae). Therefore, presented here is an effort to study and analyze the species deposited in collections, the majority of which remain undocumented.
