TAXONOMIC AND FLORISTIC APPRAISAL OF THE FAMILY POACEAE IN HARYANA

Project summary:

The project focuses on the taxonomic and floristic appraisal of Poaceae in Haryana, India. Through repeated field surveys across four phytogeographical zones, it documents grass diversity via DSLR photos and herbarium specimens, maps grasslands with ArcGIS, and will perform DNA barcoding of selected cryptic taxa using plastome/ITS regions. Lastly, a public website will also be developed as a pictorial database of the state's grasses.
