Systematics of the Myrcia amazonica DC. clade (Myrtaceae)
Project summary:
This project will produce a revision, phylogenetic analysis, and character reconstruction of traits in a clade of approximately 25 species of Myrcia (Myrtaceae). Myrcia is a large Neotropical genus of c. 800 species and plays an important part in the ecology and biodiversity of the arboreal flora of South America.
