Morphology, taxonomy and phylogeny of the genus Phlomoides (Phlomideae; Lamiaceae)

Project summary:

In this project we plan to perform a comprehensive taxonomic survey in genus Phlomoides supported by investigating herbarium and field specimens. Moreover we conduct a molecular phylogenetic study using broad sampling to identify major evolutionary lineages within the genus. Finally we present a classification system corroborating both molecular and morphological data.
