Using nuclear and plastids genes to understand the relationships of Mimosa subseries Obstrigosae (section Mimosa, series Mimosa).

Project summary:

Relationships within Obstrigosae are not well understood, limits between species are not clear and there is evidence of polyploid species complexes. We will analyse nuclear and plastid gene regions and morphological variability to understand the relationships and position of the subseries members in a phylogenetic context and perform a key.
