Present proposal comprises taxonomic revision of genus Tribulus L. in India with review of family Zygophyllaceae. The study includes distribution, nomenclature, morphometrics, palynology & phylogeny of Tribulus. Outcomes expected to delimit taxa with analysis of variable and consistent characters; congruence of morphological characters analyzed with molecular markers along with phylogeny.
