Taxonomic studies on Amazonian Savannas: the genus Bulbostylis Kunth (Cyperaceae) in Pará state, Northern Brazil
Project summary:
Amazonian savannas are characterized by a high number of endemic species. However, this is, at the moment, the most threatened mainland area resulting from human activity. Many species of Bulbostylis (Cyperaceae) are endemic of these environments, and classical taxonomic studies including this genus are incipient for this Biome, hence its diversity is still unknown.
