Project summary:
A case of taxonomic inconsistency detected in the Mediterranean involves Sonchus asper (Asteraceae), caused by variability of perpetuation mechanisms and sexual systems, associated with two morphotypes of flower head size. We propose to evaluate morphological characteristics and the distribution of the complex, visiting herbaria in south France and northwest Italy.
