Bracteoles as diagnostic characters in the megadiverse Eugenia L. (Myrtaceae): expanding Amazonian Flora knowledge at the INPA collection

Project summary:

This project investigates bracteoles as diagnostic traits for species delimitation in the mega-diverse and taxonomically complex genus Eugenia. By analyzing around 200 Amazonian specimens from the INPA Herbarium, it addresses sampling gaps. Statistical analyses (MFA, ANOVA/Tukey) will correlate morphology with infrageneric groups, refining the genus's taxonomy.
