Project summary:
In the Himalaya two subspecies of Himalayan Mayapple, viz. Sinopodophyllum hexandrum subsp. hexandrum and S. hexandrum subsp. ramgopalii D.Maity, J.Ghosh & Midday occur. The diversity assessment, both phenetic and phylogenetic, of these subspecies will be performed. Chemical profiling of the new subspecies will be done for sustainable utilization.
