The complete chloroplast genome of Ononis spinosa (Fabaceae-Papilionoideae): comparative analysis and phylogenetic implications with related Trifolieae species
Project summary:
Gene structure, organization, and content of the plastome across seed plants are highly conserved. Several legume genera within the IRLC have highly rearranged plastomes, such as Trifolium and Medicago. To trace the evolutionary pattern of plastome in the IRLC, sequencing of the complete plastid genome of Ononis spinosa is suggested.
