Paleopalynological Record of the Upper Cretaceous Strata from Pakistan

Project summary:

The upper cretaceous epoch holds a very diverse palaeoflora in Pakistan. The present research work will be conducted for the first time to explore and discover novel species from different areas of Pakistan which will leads to great contributions in paleobotany both nationally and internationally. Sedimentary rocks samples will be collected from various localities and analyzed through palaeobotanical techniques. The current study will be aimed to describe the plants evolution, reconstructions of past climate change and its effects on plant communities in different time periods.
