Project summary:
The vegetation types of Ethiopia are highly diverse but currently reducing . They provide a wide range of ecological, economic, social and cultural services to the community. However, the vegetation and traditional ethnobotanical knowledge of plant is subjected to loss. Hence documentation of information on type of species, describing the vegetation types are vital steps in conservation and management process. Therefore, this project aimed to investigate and document the plants species, to preserve, conserve and to predict the status and distribution useful trees in southern Ethiopia.
