Project summary:
When addressing Opuntia taxonomy, it is necessary to make comprehensive studies regarding morphology, micro-morphology, distribution, ecology and phylogeny, to generate more solid hypotheses of the relationships between species, and thus contribute to a better taxonomic understanding of the genus species, being important to make a re-evaluation of the taxa.
