Caryophyllaceae in Ecuador is poorly sampled and lacks a comprehensive taxonomic revision. This project proposes an integrated morphological, nomenclatural, geospatial, and conservational study of all genera; based on herbaria revision and fieldwork, to update taxonomy, distribution, and conservation status of around 52 species.
