A contribution to the nuclear genome size knowledge of Tillandsia

Project summary:

The nuclear genome size and polyploidy of the plant lineages are associate to evolutionary process, a powerful reason to increase the knowledge in non-model plants like the Neotropical. Subg. Tillandsia ( ~270 spp.). I will assess the C-value, chromosome number and apply Hyb-Seq strategy to infer a phylogenetic framework.
