Unscrambling the complex endemic West Himalayan genus Pseudomertensia/ Decalepidanthus) through integrative studies (macro and micromorphology, palynology and molecular phylogenetics)
Project summary:
The Boraginaceae family, published in 1989, has been lacking further collections, taxonomic studies and revisions for 35 years. Various genera, including Myosotis, Pseudomertensia (Delcalepidanthus), Buglossoides, Lindelofia, Anoplocaryum are still unexplored. This project aims to fill these gaps by focusing on genus Delcalepidanthus, a complex and poorly understood Himalayan taxa. The project proposes fresh collections, detailed taxonomic reviews, including micro and macro morphological characters and phylogenetic data producing an updated monograph.
