A systematic study of Dipcadi Medik (Asparagaceae: Scilloideae) from India
Project summary:
The Project deals with studying the genus Dipcadi from the Deccan plateau, India, using various parameters in the field as well as based on herbarium specimens. These parameters involve, morphology, morphometry, palynology, seed-micromorphology, molecular studies, and population ecology to ascertain the correct identity, number of species, and proper delimitation using taxonomic keys. Our objective is to ascertain the correct identity of Dipcadi species occurring in India and comment on their status and distribution pattern in the study area to enable us to understand the taxonomy of Dipcadi.
