Project summary:
This proposal aims to reconstruct the evolutionary history of the Axonopus P. Beauv., basing on insights from plastid (ndhF) and nuclear (apo1) regions, to (I) detect potential events of reticulate evolution; (II) explore relationships between diploid and polyploid taxa; and (III) estimate the origin and the period of species diversification.
