Integrative revision of the aquatic plant genus Helanthium (Alismataceae) based on morphological and molecular evidence
Project summary:
This project proposes the first independent taxonomic revision of Helanthium, integrating morphology and molecular phylogenetics to resolve long-standing gaps in species delimitation. IAPT funding will enable targeted field collections of topotypical material preserved in silica gel for DNA sequencing, which are essential for robust nomenclatural and phylogenetic decisions.
